Travel dates and suggestions:

The wedding venue is reserved exclusively from the 10th – 14th July with activities planned around those days. It is suggested therefore that you stay nearby for these 4 days and travel to other parts of Zanzibar or Tanzania either before or after the wedding.

Resorts and Airbnb in the area:

There are 2 resorts within walking distance of the Chuini (wedding resort). These are Ngalawa Hotel and Mangrove Lodge.

Ngalawa Hotel:

Ngalawa is more corporate in nature with nice clean rooms and villas which could be comfortable for families or even sharing. Not seafront and dry and ok pool but you will have all the facilities of Chuini for the 4 days from 10 – 14th July.

Mangrove Lodge:

Mangrove lodge is directly opposite Chuini. Short walk across a bridge (high tide) or on the beach during low tide. All rooms are bungalows. Beautiful gardens, nice pool and beach. Rooms are more of a rustic style but very nice.

There are several hotels a short drive or water taxi from the venue.

Royal Cliff Zanzibar Hotel:

Royal Cliff we didn’t manage to see but has good reviews and is only 14min by car or 7min by water taxi.

Zanzi Resort & Spa:

If you want to stay in opulent luxury there is a beautiful resort only 12min by car and 8min by water taxi called Zanzi Resort. All rooms are bungalows and all have private pools with a few having a private beach.

There are a few Airbnb options around for people who may want to share. The below is 8min away roughly. Not on the beach.

Stonetown:

Alternatively, guests can stay in Stonetown. By car it is roughly 35min from the venue. By water taxi around 15 - 20min max. There are a lot of great options but here is one hotel we really liked
