Why Zanzibar you ask ?
Our journey to this island paradise started with Lucia being dragged kicking and screaming to a destination which will forever have a special place in our hearts.
Zanzibar is an island of surprises with a variety and soul which is undeniable. Our journeys around the island took us past a place which ultimately sealed it as our wedding destination, a town which goes by the name of Bububu, which just happened to be her pet name for me.
Some may say it was written in the stars and a short 2 years later we are inviting you to join us in this special place.
Where in Zanzibar?
Short 12km from Stone Town and Aiport, Chuini Lodge is located on west coast of Zanzibar in a town called Bububu. The property and it’s 11 rooms will be exclusively booked for the wedding from the 10th - 14th July 2025. The ceremony, pre-wedding party and post-wedding ‘recovery’ picnic will be all held at the property. Despite the fact everyone will not be able to stay with us, we have contacted and listed nearby suitable hotels, lodges and airbnb for your convenience. We specially liked the fact that everyone can stay within walking distance of Chuini.
